Overview
BlueSpace is an enterprise software vendor with solutions for enterprise mail and messaging in the defense, intelligence, financial services, government and healthcare communities, as well as multi-level secure (MLS) middleware for the defense and intelligence communities.
Trusted Service Bus
The BlueSpace Trusted Service Bus has been designed to facilitate the rapid development and deployment of multi-level secure (MLS) applications and systems.
Together with the Trusted Client Framework, the Trusted Service Bus is the first MLS middleware application available as a COTS product. It supports administratively controlled, cross-domain application messaging (between different security labels, networks or zones), and is designed to allow orchestration of MLS applications without the need to move large amounts of content between different labels.
BlueSpace has begun the documentation process for an EAL5+ certification of the Trusted Service Bus, and all trusted code is developed by US citizens in a US office.
Trusted Client Framework
The Trusted Client Framework is an Ajax mashup framework that leverages the Trusted Service Bus to allow end user applications to run at multiple security levels at the same time.
End user actions such as clicking to open a mail, an item from search results or an IM chat session from one security level can cause a new window to spawn at the appropriate security level for that content.
TransMail Trusted Edition is the first end user application that BlueSpace has developed using the Trusted Client Framework and Trusted Service Bus. BlueSpace is currently working on a set of MLS applications, including MLS Google search, MLS Intellipedia and MLS Command & Control.
TransMail
TransMail is a mail/messaging platform designed for environments in which security, compliance, guaranteed delivery and rigorous content management are high priorities.
TransMail has a unique content model in which only one instance of each content object is maintained, and all further replies and forwards point back to that original instance. This relational pointing system is transparent to the end user.
Content objects can be tagged with custom data to allow business process integration. These content objects can then be managed rigorously across their lifecycles, according to an enterprise policy that leverages rules.
TransMail Trusted Edition
TransMail Trusted Edition is a version of TransMail specifically designed for the defense and intelligence communities, providing the user with a single, multi-level secure inbox. TransMail Trusted Edition is the first commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) end user, multi-level secure application design around an MLS middleware strategy.
TransMail Trusted Edition relies on separate TransMail servers in each security domain. The multi-level interface for the end user is built on the client desktop, using the BlueSpace Trusted Service Bus and Trusted Client Framework.
