Unity

BlueSpace Unity is an email and messaging client that can span multiple networks with a single inbox and a single calendar.  If you have a multi-level capable desktop and you use email, you will want this application.

The user interface has a fused inbox view at the high side, with emails being gathered from single level email servers on different security domains – it ‘mashes together’ the inboxes from these different email servers into a single list.  When a user clicks to open or reply to an email, Unity automatically opens the email on the right network, so that Mandatory Access Controls (MAC) are enforced.

Unity can connect to Microsoft Exchange Servers, and provides a mashup of Microsoft Outlook OWA to view items such as emails and calendar entries.  The end user interface runs in a browser in Microsoft Windows (in fact, multiple instances of Windows in different hypervisors or remote terminal sessions on the different domains).

In addition to connecting to Microsoft Exchange, Unity can also connect to BlueSpace’s TransMail Server.  TransMail is a messaging server with extensive access control and auditing features, ideal for AMHS and other type systems.  TransMails and emails from Microsoft Exchange are shown in the same inbox, and opened in either a TransMail window or a Microsoft OWA window as appropriate.
